Bismillah
Just like I promised before, here the tutorial how to enabled USB flash disk on your VirtualBox. First thing make sure you already installed the program correctly, then follow this tutorial. Just make sure to read it carefully and do it at your own risk.
- first write this on the terminal
aditia@aditia-laptop:~$sudo gedit /etc/udev/rules.d/40-permissions.rules (If you didn’t find this file, just simply make this file and copy the syntax below to the editor ^_^)
- the terminal will show like this
# USB serial converters
SUBSYSTEM==”usb_device”, GOTO=”usb_serial_start”
SUBSYSTEM==”usb”, ENV{DEVTYPE}==”usb_device”, GOTO=”usb_serial_start”
GOTO=”usb_serial_end”
LABEL=”usb_serial_start”
ATTRS{idVendor}==”0403″, ATTRS{idProduct}==”6001″, \
MODE=”0664″, GROUP=”dialout”
LABEL=”usb_serial_end”
- be sure to change MODE=”0664″, GROUP=”dialout” to MODE=”0666″, GROUP=”dialout”
then do this command on terminal
aditia@aditia-laptop:~$ sudo nano /etc/fstab
- add this syntax to the end of the file
none /proc/bus/usb usbfs devgid=1000,devmode=666 0 0
- save your file
try your virtualbox and don’t forget to insert your USB flash disk(^_^)
